SANAA, March 3 (YPA) – At least six people have died in The State of Washington due to coronavirus, US officials said Monday.
One person died in Snohomish County, the provincial spokesman said, without giving further details.
Five other people died in King County, according to county health official Jeffrey Duchenne.
Earlier on Monday, the Washington State Department of Health announced the second death in Seattle County, while New York Governor Andrew Cuomo confirmed the state’s first case of the virus on Sunday night.
US media reported that there have been a number of infections in the United States, but in recent days many patients have not been found to be connected to a specific focus of the epidemic, suggesting that the virus is spreading.
The United States imposed travel restrictions and recommended not travel in China, Italy and South Korea the centers of virus outbreak.
The world’s death toll from the new coronavirus outbreak has exceeded 3,000, after China on Monday recorded 42 new deaths.
Last week, the US President Donald Trump appointed Vice President Mike Pence as coordinator of the government’s efforts to address the corona virus outbreak.
The risks of contracting corona to the American people remain very low, the two men said at a White House press conference.
