Ben Daghr’s authorities forms component to confront UAE-backed transitional council

ADEN, Mai 1 (YPA) –  Ben Daghr’s authorities backed by Riyadh are preparing to form a new southern component to confront the UAE-backed separatist southern transitional council in the southern port city of Aden, sources familiar with the issue said.

The component will consist of 40 members, including leading members in Islah Party (Muslim Brotherhood) in the southern provinces, under the supervision of Brigadier Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar, according to the sources.

Many of the component members demanded to replace al-Ahmar because of his link to 1994 war against the south of Yemen, the sources added.
