Marib mourns death of President al-Sammad

MARIB, April 30 (YPA) – A mourning ceremony was held on Monday in Marib province for the martyrdom of the former president Saleh Al-Samma amid official and popular presence.

During the ceremony, speeches were delivered by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Amir and Director of Serwah district Marei al-Ameri.

The speeches reviewed the virtues and biography of the martyr al-Sammad and praised his role in unifying the internal front and his positions in confronting the US-Saudi aggression.

The words also stressed the importance of heading to the combat fronts to avenge the killing of president al-Sammad and all martyrs of the homeland, who were killed while confronting the US-Saudi aggression coalition and its mercenaries.

On April 19, the former president of the Supreme Poltical Council was killed along with six of his companions in airstrikes waged by US-backed Saudi-led coalition warplanes on Yemen’s western port city of Hodaida.
