Young woman kidnapped in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 28 (YPA) – A young woman was kidnapped by in the city of Aden, southern Yemen, and taken to unknown destination, local sources reported on Tuesday.

According to sources close to the family of the woman, Donia Hussein Abdelmajeed Hussein, 17, was kidnapped on Sunday by unknown persons after she came out to buy chips (potatoes) from a shop near her house in al-Mualla area.

About 500 kidnappings of women and girls have been recorded in the city of Aden by rights sources, and more than 100 cases of abduction were registered during 2018.

The crimes of rape and abduction of women have frighteningly spread in Aden by armed militias of Saudi-led coalition forces since they took over the city in the second half of 2015.
