SAHBWAH, Jan. 28 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah Party militants carried out on Tuesday an operation of arrests against citizens in Yemen’s southern province of Shabwah, sources said.
The sources affirmed that the militants stormed a number of citizens’ houses and arrested dozens under a pretext of belonging to Shabwani elite forces backed by the UAE.
According to the sources, Islah militant established several security checkpoints in the main road linking between Abayn and Shabwah to seize the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s recruit coming from Aden city.
