TEHRAN, Jan. 24 (YPA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry on Saturday issued a statement regarding the prevention of two Iranian citizens, one of whom holds the name of Soleimani, from entering American territory.
In the statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that “the American security forces prevented an Iranian student from entering the country even though he was studying in one of its universities.”
The American border guards also prevented an Iranian truck driver who was crossing the border with Canada because his family name was “Soleimani”, the statement added.
The statement condemned the restrictions imposed by the American border guards against Iranian citizens. It considered dealing with them and asking them about their political affiliations and religious beliefs and accessing to their personal accounts on social networking sites, is illegal and inhuman action and constitutes a violation of human rights.
“The American measures are racist, and are based on race, belonging and religion at sometimes, in violation of international law,” the ministry said, holding the US administration responsible for those violations.
