Ministry of Industry discusses plans, programs of Standardization Organization

SANAA, Jan. 20 (YPA) – A meeting held Wednesday in Sanaa, headed by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed al-Hashimi, discussed the plans and programs of the Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization and its role in protecting the consumer.

The meeting reviewed a number of topics related to the organization’s activity in the provinces and the procedures it takes to issue and circulate the approved standard specifications.

In the meeting, al-Hashimi noted to the importance of continuous assessment of work to ensure the simplification of procedures for merchants in a manner that does not affect the health and safety of citizens or violates the laws and regulations related to consumer protection.

Al-Hashimi urged activating the media aspects of the organization and its important role in protecting the consumer and maintaining his health and safety.
