Protest rally in Sanaa calls for UN to release oil ships
SANAA, Jan. 17 (YPA) – Dozens of Yemen’s oil company’s employees organized on Friday a protest rally to call for the United Nations to release oil ships seized by the Saudi-led aggression coalition.
During the rally that held in front of the UN office, the spokesman of the Yemeni oil company, Amin al-Shobati affirmed that seven of the UN-licensed tankers carrying great amounts of oil derivations have been seized by the aggression coalition.
The spokesman slammed Martin Griffith’s briefing of the Security Council about arrival of oil ships to Hodeidah port continually.
That rally pointed out that the briefing of the UN envoy revealed the UN has failed in its performance and role in Yemen in pressure on the aggression states.
The participants called on the UN to play role in pressure on the coalition countries to end the war and lift the siege imposed on the Yemeni people by the aggression coalition for more than seven years.
