Security Council extends term of UN mission in Hodeidah until mid-July
NEW YORK, Jan. 13 (YPA) – The Security Council decided, in its session Monday, to extend the term of the United Nations Mission in support of Hodeidah Agreement in Yemen until mid-July, 2020.
At a previous session on January 15 of last year, the UN Security Council approved the extension of the term of the United Nations Mission for a period of six months.
In its Resolution 2481, the Security Council stressed that the mission should lead and support the Redeployment Coordination Committee work, with the assistance of a secretariat consisting of United Nations employees to oversee the ceasefire, the redeployment of forces and demining operations in the province.
