SANAA, Dec.31 (YPA) – At least five Sudanese were killed on Monday in tribal clashes in the western city of Al-Geneina in Darfur, while a woman died of asphyxiation while participating in a vigil outside the court complex in Omdurman.
In a statement published by the Sudanese Official News Agency SUNA, the Western Darfur State Security Committee confirmed that five people had been killed and six injured in the events in the town of Al-Geneina in Darfur.
“The incidents began with a fight between two people on Sunday evening, which resulted in the stabbing of each other, resulting in his death, and then a number of relatives of the victim gathered and opened fire heavily,” the agency said.
The Committee called on citizens to work to strengthen the security and stability situation and assist police and justice agencies, which work to enforce the law on perpetrators and perpetrators of juveniles.
It also Warned that it will take decisive and stringent legal action against anyone who disturbs security and infringes on public and private property.
