26 people killed as bus plunges into ravine in Indonesia
SANAA, Dec. 24 (YPA) – At least 26 people were killed and 21 others injured in Indonesia as a bus plunged into ravine at a height of 150 meters late on Monday evening, according to local Indonesia media sources.
The sources quoted the police as saying that “the bus, which was carrying about 50 passengers, crashed on its way from the city of Bengkulu to the city of Palembang on the island of Sumatra in western Indonesia.”
Traffic accidents are common in Indonesia, with roads often passing through rough terrain.
