STC’s militias seize truck carrying fuel for power plant in Abyan

ABYAN, Dec. 17 (YPA) – Gunmen affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias on Tuesday seized a fuel truck of Laudar power station in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Sources said soldiers of al-Alam checkpoint, east of Aden province, held the fuel truck and refused to allow it to continue its way to Laudar city of Abayn.

The central area of Abyan is living in darkness as a result of holding the fuel truck of Laudar power plant, which supplies four districts of Abyan with electricity, according to the sources.
