SANAA, Dec. 17 (YPA) – Information Minister Dhaifallah al-Shami stressed the importance of doubling efforts to preserve the natural reserves and environment in Ibb province.
The minister and Ibb governor Abdel Wahid Salah discussed, in a meeting held in the province, the necessary procedures for preserving Wadi and al-Dur natural reserves in al-Aden district and also awareness of the community to protect on the environment and wild areas.
Al-Shami praised the tribes, sheikhs and farms’initiative about replacing Qat tree with coffee, olive and other fruit trees in the two reserves.
The minister called on all farmers to encourage planting the crop with economic incomes for enhancing popular steadfastness and contributes to meeting citizens’ needs.
The Minister of Information stressed, in a meeting held in Ibb governorate today in the presence of Governor to discuss he importance of community awareness to preserve natural reserves, the environment and wild areas.
Meanwhile, the governor directed to prevent farming plants that distort nature in the two reserves.
Salah affirmed the local authority leadership’s keenness to protect the reserves and wild areas in the province.
