ABYAN, Dec. 12 (YPA) – Four militants were injured on Thursday in fierce clashes in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan, sources said.
The sources affirmed the clashes broke out between the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi’s forces with Islah party and the Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias backed by the UAE, destroying also four military vehicles.
The clashes happened when the forces of Hadi waged an attack against sites of the STC militias in al-Mahfad district, the sources added.
The STC militias have recently moved to plant numerous ambushes against the forces of Hadi and Islah party in provinces of Abyan and Shabwah, after the signing of the Riyadh agreement, which stipulates stopping the military confrontations between the two sides in the southern provinces .
