Malaria threatens lives of 18 million people in Yemen: WHO

SANAA, Dec. 1 (YPA) – The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement on Sunday that the malaria threatens lives of 18 million people in Yemen.

The WHO said that 2000 workers participated in the spraying campaign against the malaria, targeting over 265 thousand homes in areas at risk of the epidemic.

It added that its campaign to fight against the malaria has succeeded in protecting 1.5 million citizens from the epidemic in 59 districts in eight the Yemeni provinces within two years.
