Standards of gov’t medical facilities to be announced soon: Health Minister

SANAA, Nov. 28 (YPA) – Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Taha al-Mutwakil on Thursday said that the guides and standards of government medical facilities in provinces would be announced soon, after they have been announced and applied in the capital.

During an expanded meeting of the health sector, the minister noted that the ministry is currently working to establish standards for the public hospitals, which would be followed by the stage of setting prices in the private and public medical facilities.

Dr. al-Mutwakil explained that the ministry has completed many plans to improve the health conditions, stressing the need for everyone to take responsibility to overcome the challenges facing the health sector to continue to provide services to citizens.

The meeting dealt with the health situation and the ministry’s efforts to face the effects of aggression on the health sector, especially the spread of epidemics.
