SHABWAH, Nov. 6 (YPA) -Hadi’s forces on Wednesday arrested a senior leader of the UAE’s Southern Transitional Council in Shabwah province, south-eastern Yemen, a day after of signing the Riyadh Agreement between Hadi’s government and the southern transitional Council.
According to local sources, Hadi’s forces and members of the Al-Islah militia arrested the head of the Transitional Council in Bayhan district, Sheikh Ahmed al-Omari, during a meeting with council loyalists to celebrate the signing of the agreement.
They said that the arrest of Al-Omari considered as the first military reaction against the “Riyadh Agreement” by the forces “Hadi” and the Islah party, the main partner in the government of “Hadi” signed the agreement on Tuesday in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
