SANAA, Nov. 4 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has once again broken its usual silence on its military losses in border front despite its reservations, but it admitted that 16 Saudi officers and soldiers were killed and wounded in the southern border.”
On Sunday and Monday, the Royal Ground Force command described a number of its officers and soldiers as “martyrs of national duty” and “died in the line of duty in the southern border of the kingdom.”
Saudi websites and social media activist circulated widely during Sunday and Monday, the names and ranks of 16 members of the Saudi forces, killed and wounded by fire by the Yemeni army and popular committees.
Since the announcement of the fall out of three coalition brigades with full equipment and forces, the coalition has stepped up airstrikes and attacks on various frontlines of the border.
According to Yemeni armed forces spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Sare’e, “all infiltration attempts carried out by the coalition forces and mercenaries have failed despite the air cover of the aggression, leaving several dead and wounding in their ranks.”
The Yemen Press Agency obtained from the Media Center of the Northern Border Fronts, revealed the names and ranks of the Saudi officers and soldiers, who were declared dead and injured by fire by the Yemeni army and popular committees.
