National delegation meets Swedish Envoy to Yemen, Dutch ambassador to Oman

MUSCAT, Oct. 30 (YPA) – The national negotiating delegation on Wednesday met in the Omani capital city of Muscat with Swedish Special Envoy to Yemen Ambassador Peter Semneby and the Dutch Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman Laetitia van Asch.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen at the political and humanitarian levels.

The Swedish envoy confirmed his country’s interest in following up the situation in Yemen and the peace efforts, reviewing Swedish activities in support of the political process.

Head of the national delegation Mohammed Abdulsalam expressed his thanks to the Kingdom of Sweden for its efforts in support of peace, and to the Netherlands for its positive efforts in support of Yemen at the political and humanitarian levels.

In the meeting, it was stressed that no solutions or calm could be achieved in Yemen without lifting the unjust siege.

The national delegation also reviewed all efforts and initiatives that prove the keenness on peace and making steady steps towards the political process.
