2 killed during demonstrations in Haiti
SANAA, Oct. 28 (YPA) – Two people were killed during a demonstration by hundreds of police and their supporters in the Haitian capital to demand a salary increase, according to the police, while a demonstration against the government also took to the streets, Haitian police said in a statement, according to Agence France-Presse on Monday.
One of the dead was shot during a demonstration demanding the resignation of President Juvenel Moyes. A crowd of demonstrators beat the shooter to death and burned him.
