Syria welcomes Kurdish forces’ withdrawal from country’s north

DAMASCUS, Oct. 27 (YPA) – Damascus on Sunday welcomed the withdrawal of Kurdish factions from the north of the country to a depth of 30 kilometers, revealing that this was done in coordination with the Syrian army.

“This withdrawal pulls out the basic pretext for the brutal Turkish aggression on Syrian territory,” the official SANA news agency quoted a source at the Syrian Foreign Ministry as saying.

The Agency said that Syrian Army units seized four new villages in the southeastern countryside of Ras al-Ain, northwest of al-Hasakah, reducing the distance to the Turkish border to three kilometers.
