Interior Minister, ICRC official stress on enhancing mutual cooperation

SANAA, Oct. 27 (YPA) – Minister of Interior Abdul Karim al-Houthi and ICRC official on Sunday stressed on the importance of enhancing the joint cooperation between Yemen and the ICRC.

During his meeting with Franz Rauchenstein, the ICRC’s head of delegation in Yemen, the minister affirmed that he directed the ministry’s services to do their parts to cooperate with the ICRC delegation , protect its crew, and facilitate tasks.

Al-Houthi called on the ICRC to carry out its commitment to provide some of the humanitarian needs of prisons and support the police hospitals with health supplies.

For his part, the ICRC official praised the ministry’s services to protect the ICRC’s staff and facilitate their tasks, affirming the mission has a number of projects, which will be implemented within 2020.
