SANAA, Oct.24 (YPA) – Abdul Qadir al-Murtada, Chairman of the National Committee for Prisoners’ Affairs has confirmed the liberation of more than 600 prisoners from both sides since the end of the Swedish consultations.
“Since the end of the Consultations in Sweden, more than 600 prisoners of war have been freed from both sides through exchanges by local authorities and understandings,” al-Murtada told reporters on Thursday.
“Since the Swedish agreement, no prisoners have been freed through the UN, despite the agreement signed by the parties under its supervision.”
