TAIZ, Oct. 20 (YPA) – Gunmen believed to be affiliated with the coalition-backed government forces stormed the Al-Safwa General Hospital in Taiz on Sunday evening, causing chaos and intimidation of its administration, local sources reported.
According to the sources, gunmen stormed the hospital after its administration refused to provide an ambulance to take a wounded for free of charge.
Two days ago, an armed gang stormed Al-Thawra General Hospital in Taiz, executing a wounded man in the emergency room and injuring a medical nurse.
This prompted the Hospital’s Authority to announce a strike, protesting the hospital’s storming and in solidarity with their wounded colleague.
The city of Taiz is witnessing a serious security breakdown under the control of pro-coalition factions.
