Official report to reveal key people involved in President al-Hamdi’s assassination

SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – Yemeni army’s spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sarie on Saturday revealed an official report to be issued disclosing new information on the bloody coup that led to the assassination of President Ibrahim al-Hamdi on October 11, 1977.

“It is the first official report in 42 years on the assassination of the martyr President Ibrahim al-Hamdi, and will disclose the most prominent perpetrators of the crime under documents and testimonies,” Sarie said in a statement.

It is worth mentioning that the Moral Guidance Department at the Ministry of Defense in Sanaa announced the 11th of October “the day of loyalty to al-Hamdi”, the first official event is held since the assassination of al-Hamdi.
