Deputy foreign minister speaks of “imminent clashes”in southern occupied territories

SANAA, Oct.12 (YPA) – Deputy Foreign Minister in The National Salvation Government, Hussein al-Izzi expressed concern over “imminent clashes in the occupied territories”, referring to the growing conflict between Saudi-led coalition rival militias, which seek for control and influence.

“We are following with concern the preparations of the parties to the conflict in the occupied territories,” Hussein al-Izzi said in a tweet Thursday night.

“In light of what the information indicates and what some sources expect, imminent confrontations may erupt, which unfortunately will pose an additional threat and will exacerbate the suffering of our people and citizens in the occupied territories, which is undoubtedly very unfortunate.”

The conflict between the Saudi and Emirati coalition poles and their militias over the extension of influence and acquisition in the southern provinces controlled by the coalition and its militias for three years is escalating, coinciding with international trends to stop the war in Yemen.
