UAE sacks senior official in “security belt forces” in Aden

ADEN, Oct. 7 (YPA) –  The United Arab Emirates occupation forces have sacked a senior security official in the so-called Security belt forces in the southern city of Aden, informed sources reported on Monday

The operations of the UAE forces in the occupied city of Aden, have made changes in the structure of the so-called brigades of the security belt forces, which is one of the formations of the Southern Transnational Council Militias, informed sources said..

According to the sources, the changes included the commander of al- Sha’ap’s camp (the administrative base of the security belt brigades) and the head of operations of those brigades, Mahmoud Salem, after he was accused of treason during the recent war fought by the Emirati-backed Transitional Militia with Hadi’s government forces

Mahmoud Salem was accused of making a deal with the Minister of Interior in the Coalition-backed government, and then handed over positions belonging to the security belt forces, including the al-Sha’ap’s Camp, one of the sources said.

The sources added that the operations of the UAE forces appointed Mohsen al-Wali, who is a financial officer for the security belt brigades, as a replacement for Mahmoud Salem in the head of the security belt operations.

It is noteworthy that ” the administrative base of the security belt brigades”  is located in al- Sha’ap area od al-Briqa district , fell in late August, after the advance of Hadi’s forces in Abyan province, and reached the eastern entrance to  Aden.
