100 Emirati armored vehicles arrive in Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 6 (YPA) – Dozens of UAE armored vehicles arrived Sunday in the southern and western countryside of Yemen’s Taiz province, as the UAE seeks to establish its presence through forces loyal to it in Taiz.

Yemeni sources talked about the arrival of a UAE ship to the oil port in Aden and emptied 100 armored vehicles and military cars and various munitions.

The UAE action comes a week after monitoring three UAE ships in the port of Mocha, and the establishment of a port for warships behind al-Ton factory in Mocha, according to Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV Channel.

Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a leader in “Ansaruallah”, said on Saturday that “the UAE’s efforts to build a military port in Mocha confirm its intention to stay in Yemen, not withdraw from it.”

He vowed that Sanaa forces would not keep silent on the UAE movements, which is not in its interest, demanding its full withdrawal from Yemen.

The UAE’s moves and reinforcements come in light of the armed tension between Hadi’s forces backed by Islah Party factions and militias affiliated to the so-called Abu Abbas group and Tariq Afash, the arms of the UAE in the province.
