UAE-backed militias loot govt offices in Socotra

SOCOTRA, Oct. 6 (YPA) – The UAE-backed militias have withdrawn from government offices and centers on Socotra Island after they had been under their control for some time, informed sources said Sunday.

The sources noted that the militias loyal to the UAE looted the government offices and confiscated security cars and furniture provided by the UAE for the island’s police administration.

On Friday, Saudi mediation stopped Hadi’s forces and Islah Party factions from clashing with the UAE-backed militia, promising them to receive the government offices in just two days.
