SANAA, Oct. 5 (YPA) – Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation in Sanaa on Saturday warned of a catastrophic threat to the agricultural sector and the most important sources of food security as Saudi-led coalition continues holding oil derivatives ships.
“The holding of oil derivatives ships poses a threat to the agricultural sector and negatively affects the production of agricultural crops that depend on irrigation water from wells,” Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Abdulmalik al-Thour said in a statement.
Al-Thour stressed the need to provide oil derivatives to the agricultural sector to operate various equipment and machinery; and provide farmers with their needs of oil derivatives to alleviate their suffering and help them market and sale their agricultural crops.
The minister called on the international community, the United Nations, and all international organizations to take action to stop the barbaric aggression, lift the siege and allow the entry of oil derivatives.
