SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Hisham Sharaf on Sunday received credentials of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)’s Resident Representative in Yemen Hussein Gadain.
During the meeting, Sharaf appreciated the partnership between Yemen and FAO, reaffirming the continuation of the National Salvation Government in providing all necessary facilities for the UN organizations to enable them to perform their tasks to the fullest.
The foreign minister voiced his hope that FAO would redouble its efforts to support the access of the modern agricultural technology in Yemen during the coming period, noting to the importance of the agricultural sector in mitigating the effects caused by the siege of the aggression coalition led by Saudi Arabia.
For his part, FAO’s Representative confirmed the Organization’s commitment to provide all possible support to Yemen and contribute to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.
