UAE sends mercenaries from India, Bangladesh, Eritrea to Socotra

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Military sources have told a British newspaper that the UAE seeks to deploy additional mercenaries from India, Bangladesh and Eritrea on the occupied Island of Socotra, southern Yemen.

This comes after the deployment of hundreds of fighters from the occupied southern provinces of Dhala, Lahej and Aden, as well as the island’s residents recruited by the UAE.

The British newspaper “Middle East Monitor” has confirmed the arrival of a new batch of mercenaries, from India and Bangladesh aboard an Emirati plane to Socotra.

The UAE’s movements have returned strongly after weeks of taking control of many southern provinces through militias of the so-called “Southern Transitional Council”, and after the killing of hundreds of Islah Party fighters loyal to Hadi’s government by UAE air strikes amid Saudi Arabia’s complicity and its call for a dialogue that has not yet begun in Jeddah.
