Saudi king’s bodyguard killed in mysterious circumstances

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Saudi media have revealed the death of Major General Abdulaziz al-Fagham, the bodyguard of Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.

General Al-Fagham was a bodyguard of King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, and after his death he became a bodyguard for King Salman bin Abdul Aziz.

Activists on Social media were suspicious of the mysterious death of the powerful man and guardian of kings.

It was remarkable that the major Saudi newspapers avoided talking about the cause of al-Fagham’s death, as they merely mentioned his life and the positions he held.

A member of the al-Fagham family spoke about the alleged details of the death, claiming that “he was shot by another former friend after breaking into his house; because of a dispute between them.”

Some tried to link the death to problems with the Saudi leadership, headed by crown prince Mohammed bin Salman, and some pointed out that the killing may be a liquidation ordered by the Saudi Crown Prince.

The London-based Saudi dissident Mohammed al-Massari, had warned five months before Al-Fahgam’s death that he may be in danger.

It was also remarkable that the killer was reportedly eliminated by Saudi police forces, which has raised more questions and leads some to believe that this was a way to bury the truth.
