Ministerial meeting affirms enhancing diplomatic staff in defending Yemen interests
SANAA, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Yemen’s Foreign Ministry on Wednesday held a ministerial meeting to affirm on the importance of enhancing the diplomatic staff in defending the interests of Yemen.
The move came during the meeting that included Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf, Civil Service and Insurance Minister Edriss Al-Shargabi and Legal Affairs Minister Ismail al-Mahaqari and Finance Minister Sharaf al-Kohlani.
The ministers discussed aspects related to enhancing the Foreign Ministry’s role in improving the legislation governing the ministry’s work, and Yemeni diplomacy to deal with abroad and confronting the Saudi-led aggression coalition on Yemen in accordance with the national vision.
The meeting stressed the need to back and develop the diplomatic cadre as the executive body, which represents the Republic of Yemen interests and defending its foreign policy and sovereignty.
The ministers also discussed the role of the diplomatic staff in the post-aggression period in field of reconstruction, sustainable development and attracting investments.
