Two security forces killed, officer injured in bombing, attack in southern Yemen

SHABWAH, Sept. At least two security soldiers were killed and an officer was injured on Sunday evening by an explosion and attack in Shabwah and Aden provinces, local sources reported

A local source in Shabwah province said that unknown assailants detonated an explosive device as a security forces vehicle passed through the entrance to the provincial capital of Ataq, coming from Bayhan district northwest of Shabwah.

The ambush killed Warrant officer Nasser Salem al-Falahi al-Harithi and wounded Captain Abdul Rahman Qatnan al- Harithi, the sources added,

Separately, a soldier from the security forces was shot dead by gunmen in Aden province.

According to a local source, gunmen attacked a security checkpoint near al-Rehab roundabout in al-Arish area of Khor Makser district, killing the solider instantly
