Abyan tribes mobilize to confront UAE-backed militias

ABYAN, Sept. 7 (YPA) – Tribes of Ludar, al-Wadei and Modia districts in Abyan province on Saturday announced the general mobilization to confront the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militias.

This move came against the backdrop of UAE-led airstrikes that deliberately targeted Islah Party’s armed factions, from sons of the province and affiliated to Hadi’s forces, during last month.

During a tribal meeting, Sheikhs of the tribes issued a statement, in which they condemned the UAE’s brutal bombardment on Hadi’s forces, demanding an investigation into the attack and a clarification from Saudi-led coalition.

In the statement, the tribes called on the coalition to apologize for everything the UAE has committed including describing their sons involved in Hadi’s forces as terrorist elements.

The tribes called on the United Nations, the Security Council and international organizations to investigate the attack and prosecute the UAE for bombing their sons by more than 10 brutal airstrikes.
