Foreign Ministry refutes coalition’s justifications for bombing prisoners’ center in Dhamar

SANAA, Sept. 3 (YPA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday refuted the justifications stated by Saudi-led aggression coalition’s spokesman for targeting the war prisoners’ center in Dhamar province, which claimed lives of more than 150 people.

“The aggression coalition’s spokesperson found no way to justify the brutal targeting of the prisoners’ center in Dhamar, but to repeat the broken-record that a military site was bombed,” Yemen News Agency (Saba) quoted a source in the ministry as saying.

With the increasing condemnation of international human rights organizations of targeting the prisoners’ center as a war crime, the aggression coalition resorted to blame the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for its failure to provide it with the center coordinates, although the ICRC officials said they had regularly visited the center, the source explained.

He called on the ICRC to respond to the allegations of the aggression coalition spokesman to preserve its credibility and impartiality.
