Coalition’s attack on prisoners is war crime: Human rights center in Aden
ADEN, Sept. 1 (YPA) – Yemen Center for Human Rights Studies in the occupied province of Aden on Sunday said that the Saudi-led coalition warplanes’ attack on Dhamar’s prison is a war crime according to international humanitarian law.
“This target includes groups who are prohibited from being targeted by military attacks, and they are protected by international humanitarian law,” the center’s head Mohammed Qassim Numan said.
Numan affirmed that only convicts, detainees and war prisoners who were in the targeted prison in Dhamar province, according to the World Health Organization (WHO) assurances that had visited them more than once.
