Fierce battles with tanks, missiles between Hadi’s force, UAE-backed militias in Abyan

ABYAN, Aug. 28 (YPA) – Southern province of Abyan has been witnessing fierce fighting between Saudi-backed forces and Southern Transitional Council ‘s militias backed by the UAE occupation forces, southern media reported on Tuesday.

The sources confirmed that fierce fighting is taking place in the vicinity of the coastal city of Shaqra, pointing to the advance of the exiled Hadi forces and the armed groups supporting them in the vicinity of the city.

According to the sources, the fighting is raging Shaqra now, while the STC’s militias are stationed near Qarn al-Kalasy military camp.

The sources noted that the clashes in Abyan province went beyond the stage of clashes with light and medium weapons and tanks, Katyusha rockets and portable anti-tank missiles, were used and entered the confrontations.
