Clashes resumed in Aden between UAE-backed militias, gunmen   

ADEN, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Clashes renewed on Tuesday evening in the occupied city of Aden between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council’s militias and gunmen of the so-called popular resistance loyal to Saudi Arabia.

Sources reported that fierce clashes erupted late in the day between the UAE-backed security belt militias and gunmen in al-Memdara neighborhood in Sheikh Othman district.

Earlier in the day, southern sources reported that the popular resistance militants seized control of the security belt militias’ headquarters, which is located in Sheikh Othman district in Aden province, after a fierce battle that lasted for hours, during which heavy weapons were used.
