2 US soldiers killed in Afghanistan
SANAA, Aug. 22 (YPA) – North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) announced on Wednesday evening the killing of two US soldiers in Afghanistan, according to Reuters news agency.
NATO press service said the two soldiers were killed during a “combat operation” without giving details.
The command of NATO forces in Afghanistan announced early last month, killing three NATO soldiers and wounding three others, one American and two Afghans in the attack.
The United States invaded Afghanistan in 2001 along with its NATO allies on the pretext of fighting al-Qaeda, which led to chaos and tens of thousands of civilian casualties.
