Yemen army encircles Hais in Hodeidah, calls on militants to surrender

HODEIDAH, April 17 (YPA) – Yemen army encircled Hais district of Hodeidah province from all sides and managed to control important sites in the district west of Hodeidah, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The army tightened its control of Dunain  village and a number of neighboring villages, and that he fought fierce battles with forces backed by Saudi-led coalition, killing and wounding dozens of coalition’s militants.

The official added that the army forces surrounded the areas of coalition forces loyal to UAE control in the city from all directions, calling them through loudspeakers to surrender themselves.

The news reports were published through various media, including coalition countries, confirming the encirclement of the Yemeni army to Hais district.
