SANAA, Aug. 4 (YPA) – The death toll from Saturday’s mass shooting in Texas has risen to 20 dead and 26 injured in an incident that President Donald Trump described as a cowardly act that does not justify the killing of innocent people, US media reported.
Today’s shooting in El Paso, Texas, was not only tragic, it was an act of cowardice. I know that I stand with everyone in this Country to condemn today’s hateful act. There are no reasons or excuses that will ever justify killing innocent people….

Mexican President,Manuel López Obrador said three Mexicans were among the dead and six were among the injured, and expressed condolences to the Mexican and American people sought in the tragedy.
Patrick Cruces, a 21-year-old American, opened fire on shoppers at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday morning, killing at least 20 people and injuring 26 others, according to the latest official toll.
Authorities said the perpetrator was arrested by police after a 21-minute security operation, and video footage showing him being handcuffed.
El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen said authorities had obtained a statement from the perpetrator indicating that “there is a possible link between his crime and hate ideology.”
Media reported that the criminal posted a while ago a tweet in which he expressed his support for the armed attack on the mosques of Christchurch, New Zealand, carried out by Australian Branton Tarrant, who holds the idea of “white supremacy” in March and confirmed that his actions were aimed at protecting the United States from the “foreign invasion,” which hurts the American economy and culture.
The attack targeted a shop near the U.S.-Mexico border, where Mexicans who come to El Paso shopping make up a large part of the store’s visitors.
