ADEN, Aug. 1 (YPA) – A powerful explosion on Thursday rocked the southern Port City of Aden, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
According to the sources, a car bomb exploded and targeted Sheikh Othman’s police.
A security source told Aden Al-Qad newspaper that unknown assailants detonated a car bomb at the police headquarters of Sheikh Othman district.
The blast caused a number of casualties among pro-coalition soldiers, he said.
He added that a number wounded were taken to Médecins Sans Frontières hospital in the city of Aden.
Death toll of the attack still unclear, he stated.
Aden and the southern provinces generally complain of growing insecurity due to the multiplicity of militias and security and military formations loyal to the factions of the Saudi and Emirati coalition wings, and their ongoing clashes to extend their influence and control.
