JMP calls on Yemeni army to deter Saudi-led aggression

SANAA, July 30 (YPA) – The Joint Meeting Parties of the Yemeni Opposition Parties called on the Yemeni army and Popular Committees to “respond” to Saudi-led coalition’s ongoing crimes against Yemeni civilians.

“Targeting civilians in a popular market is a crime that demonstrates the ugliness and barbarity of this aggression,” the joint parties said in a statement condemning the coalition’s bombing of a popular market in Saada.

“The Yemeni people have the right to respond strongly to this aggression through their missile force. It has become a duty to respond,” the statement read.

The statement called on “the United Nations, international human rights and humanitarian organisations to break their unjustified silence and negative neutrality in the face of the war crimes that are taking place in Yemen, as well as the serious violations of international humanitarian conventions and laws.”
