Huge fire in church in Egyptian capital Cairo
SANAA, July 10 (YPA) – A huge fire, on Wednesday morning, broke out at the Church in the Egyptian capital Cairo, According to the Egyptian media,
Chamber of Civil Protection Operations in Cairo, received a report of a fire in the church “Anba Paula” Al-Qubba Gardens and immediately moved fire engines to the place of fire.
According to the Egyptian daily Akhbar Al-Youm, a security source in Cairo reported that 10 cars were pushed to try to control the fire at the Anba Bola church in Al-Qubba Gardens in Cairo.
It added that “there are no deaths so far, pointing out that the fire destroyed most of the building and a number of citizens were suffocated by the smoke intensely escalating.”
The source said that the cause of the fire had not yet been determined.
While the newspaper “Al-Ahram” Egyptian said “The cause of the fire a short circuit in the air conditioning, which led to a fire.”
