SANAA, April 11 (YPA) – The National Commission for Education, Culture and science(UNESCO) condemned the continued targeting of schools and educational facilities, most recently targeting the school of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib in Razih district of Saada province, according to a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency.
UNESCO condemned the deliberate targeting of schools, killing of children and depriving students of their right to educate, considering it a war crime against childhood and humanity as well as it is a violation of all humanitarian and international laws, said the statement.
In the statement, the Commission condemned the silence of the United Nations and all international and regional organizations, particularly the Security Council and UNESCO, against the targeting of schools and educational facilities, demanding them to protect the remaining schools and educational facilities and prosecute the perpetrators of these crimes.
