Hundreds in Hadramout protest against deterioration of basic services

HADRAMOUT, June 27 (YPA) – Hundreds of residents Yemen’s southern province of Hadramout on Thursday held a protest rally to of deterioration of various basic services in the province.

At the rally, the protesters held the UAE-backed local authority the full responsibility for the suffering of the citizens due to switching off power and the officials’ corruption in the province.

The demonstrators called for the officials in the province in providing the most basic elements of life from food to the poor men and electricity and water services for citizens.

Residents said they would escalate if their demands were not achieved.

The UAE occupation forces are controlling over oil fields and ports of the province to back its militias in various provinces.
