Yemeni army seizes reconnaissance planes, weapons of coalition in Bayda
BAYDA, June 24 (YPA) – The Yemeni army backed by popular committees on Monday seized reconnaissance planes and quantities of various weapons belonging to Saudi-led coalition forces during the liberation of sites in Bayda province.
A military official said that the army forces and popular committees launched an offensive against positions of the coalition forces in Horan front in Qaniya area, during which resulted in several dead and wounded in ranks of the coalition mercenaries and burning of a military vehicle and several tents.
He added that the army forces sized two reconnaissance planes and quantities of various weapons of the coalition during the operation.
Meanwhile, the army’s artillery unit bombed gatherings of the coalition mercenaries in al-Zaher front, killing and injuring several of them, according to the official.
On Sunday, the army’s drones and artillery force carried out a joint attack on the coalition forces in Qaniya front, in conjunction with a ground attack at the same front, which caused heavy losses to the coalition forces.
