Yemeni army forces foil coalition’s attack in Najran

NAJRAN, June 21 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Friday repelled a large-scale attack carried out by mercenaries hired by Saudi-led coalition in Najran border province, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The battle, which took place in Sudais, left dozens of the Saudi soldiers and mercenaries dead and wounded, the official said.
The official added that seven mercenaries have been killed in sniping attacks during the offensive.

He confirmed that the foiled attack lasted for hours, with the participation of warplanes and Apache, but without making any progress on the ground.

On Thursday, the missile forces of the army fired BadrF missile on gatherings of Saudi troops and its mercenaries in Sawh area of the same region, leaving heavy casualties in their ranks.
